JUICING
PREP. It all starts with the preparation. Having your fridge stocked weekly with fresh juicing ingredients is so important, because theres nothing worse than gazing in to a half empty fridge, waiting for something to jump out at you to eat. If you keep your fridge stocked up with healthy fruit and veg there will be no excuses for not making yourself a delicious nutritious drink.
I know that juicing does not appeal to all, before I ever had my first juice drink I was dreading it, as I usually would never go for a smoothie or any sort of juice drink out of choice. BUT, I was surprised, I found them quite drinkable and even more enjoyable when they are completely chilled. I would not recommend carrying one around in your bag for the morning and having it for lunch, its just not worth it.
So what I found from trying out different juices is, basically you can mask the flavors that you find unpleasant by loading then juices with lemon, lime, chili or ginger. I adore having my super green detox juices more than ever no because for me I have mastered my perfect recipe.
Also, I like to make an effort with my juices, the little things, like putting it in a nice glass, adding a straw or a lime garnish makes them more appealing!

JUICE NUMBER 1. DETOX GREEN MACHINE
What you will need:
- 3 stalks of celery
- 3/4 of a cucumber
- Large hand full of kale
- Large handfull of spinach
- 1 apple
- 3 or 4 stalks of mint leaves, with leaves attached
- A thumb size of ginger
- 1 lime
- Celery/lime to garnish
Method:
It does not really matter what order you put your ingredients into your juicer. But I find it helps to wrap the leafy greens (spinach, kale & mint) around the harder greens (celery & cucumber) as you can press them down the juicer more easily.
Serve in a tall glass, as it makes a big portion, with ice cubes and lime/celery to garnish.
Also, if I dont have any celery or cucumber as an alternative I like to make a concentrate of the lime, spinach, kale etc.. and add either still or sparkling water to dilute, as both cucumber or celery are 90% water.

I find it useful to store the rest of the ingredients all together in a zip lock bag and just throw them in the fridge so they will be ready for your next juice!
