ROMA
Deciding to flee to Rome for 7 months has inspired me to dive straight back into blogging - this time a little different. I plan to divulge all that Rome has to offer; good, bad, beautiful and ugly. But, having only been here for a short 5 days, I have already fallen head over heals with this beautiful city. The city is covered with charm, welcoming Italians and astounding culture. As I type this my Italian landlord (47 year old flute player and teacher) is blasting Leonard Bernstein & Juilliard Quartet through his compact apartment in the Prati district of Rome - Why not?
I am going to keep an on going online diary of my time in Rome; planning ahead I know its going to be full of delicious smelling food, bowl sized glasses of Frascati and plenty of hidden gems. By the time I leave, I will hopefully be able to perceive Rome a little like the Italians do - which will allow me to open Rome up as it really is to its new visitors and help them to have a real Roman experience.
